Captains Statement

The Middlesex Barbarians are a collection of Men and Women who enjoy the physical, mental, and emotion challenges that the game of rugby presents. We play in the New England Rugby Football Union Division III league and are based out of Middlesex County. Our players come from a variety of athletic backgrounds such as football, lacrosse, soccer, and even swimming and track. The desire for competition, the drive for improvement, and the enjoyment of the social aspect of the game is what defines a Barbarian.

The Middlesex Barbarians
Founded in 2002, the Barbarians compete in NERFU Division III, and are committed to being a contender for the division title. Originally founded by a group of U-Mass Lowell Alumni looking for a team in the Merrimack Valley area, the Barbarians have grown, and now include not only players from the New England area, but players from overseas solidify the roster.

New players interested in playing are encouraged to come check us out at training or contact one of our officers regardless of their experience level.
