Captains Statement

The Middlesex Barbarians are a collection of Men and Women who enjoy the physical, mental, and emotion challenges that the game of rugby presents. We play in the New England Rugby Football Union Division III league and are based out of Middlesex County. Our players come from a variety of athletic backgrounds such as football, lacrosse, soccer, and even swimming and track. The desire for competition, the drive for improvement, and the enjoyment of the social aspect of the game is what defines a Barbarian.

This year our focus is The NRU tournament where the Barbarians will see how we stand up against the best of the Northeast. To prepare for this upcoming tournament the Middlesex Barbarians will travel to Savannah Georgia for the St. Patrick’s Day tournament and participate in an additional two matches with local rivals. The team has quietly been gaining momentum up to this point in division III and hopes to keep up the success for seasons to come.

Our rugby players range from large to small and come from a variety of athletic backgrounds.
